Modern Machinery Company has always provided factory-trained local service for your press brake and shear equipment. We now offer comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Service Packages, based upon the manufacturer’s PM service requirements recommended at 1,000 and 2,000 hours of operation. These programs will help ensure that your machine will maintain its factory specifications and condition, and help prevent loss of productivity from machine downtime. Here’s what you get with each plan (sold separately):

Shear 1000 Hour Service Package

Machine:

Verify that machine is properly leveled and anchored
Chekc frong and rear link bearings for porper clearance
Re-torque frong and rear link bolts, as appropriate
Verify that eccentric cams are properly synchronized
Check adjustment of counter-balance valve
Check squaring arm, adjust as necessary
Check ram upper and lower limits, adjust as necessary
Clean and inspect shear blades
Adjust for proper shear blade clearance
Grease the main motor fittings
Hydraulic fluid analysis upon request

Backgauges:

Clean and re-lube acme screws and guides
Parallel, level and calibrate backgauge
Check anti-backlash nut, adjust if needed
Adjust rear-limit switch for blad flip and proper length
Adjust backgauge height as necessar

Controls:

Inspect and tighten control wiring connections
Clean out main control cabinet
Replace burned out controls
